How To Earn Points
Sign up Bonus
Basic Membership: 500 Points, Plus: 800 points,
Prime: 1,000 Points
Book Care
Returning books
in excellent condition or maintaining the same condition as when you borrowed.
Reading
Basic: 0.5 points per page, Plus: 0.75, Prime: 1.0
(e.g. Basic, 300-page book = 150 points)
Referral Bonus
Earn 500 points
for every successful referral.
How Points are Calculated
Ivy (Basic Member)
Ivy, a Basic member, signs up and in her first month of membership, reads a 500-page novel and returns it in pristine condition. Her points are calculated as follows:
➤ Sign-Up Bonus: 500 Points
➤ Referral Bonus: 500 Points (Say she refers he bestie)
➤ Pages Read: 500 pages × 0.5 (0.5 points per page)
➤ Book Care: 1.2×
Calculation:
500 + 500+ (500 × 0.5 × 1.2) ≈ 1,300 Points
Kendra (Plus Member)
Kendra, a Prime Member, signs up in her first month, reads a 500-page thriller and returns the book in good condition. Her points are calculated as follows:
➤ Sign-Up Bonus: 800 Points
➤ Referral Bonus: 500 Points (she refers a friend)
➤ Page Points: 500 pages × 0.75 (0.75 points per page)
➤ Book Care: 1.2×
Calculation:
800 + 500+ (500 × 0.75 × 1.2) ≈ 1,750 Waisa Points
Fred (Prime Member)
Fred, a Prime Member, signs up and in his first month, reads two 500 page turners and returns them in good condition. He also refers a friend. His points are as follows:
➤ Sign-Up Bonus: 1000 Points
➤ Referral Bonus: 500 Points (he refers a friend)
➤ Page Points: 500 pages × 1.0 (1 point per page)
➤ Multipliers: Book Care: 1.2× for each book.
Calculation:
1000 +500+ (500 × 1.0 × 1.2x) + (500 x 1.0 x 1.2) ≈ 2,700 Waisa Points

Can I really get free memberships with points?
Yes! Accumulate enough points and redeem them for free subscription. If only this redemption option is available.
What's the fastest way to earn points?
Join early and read more! Pages are your primary point source. But you can boost earnings with our multipliers: take good care of the books and choose higher membership tiers (Prime or Plus) for the best rates.
Can I lose points?
Only if books are returned in significantly worse condition than received. Normal wear never costs you points. Taking reasonable care means you’ll always earn, never lose.
Can I transfer points to another member?
Not currently, but we’re exploring gifting and transfer features for the future. For now, points are personal rewards for your reading journey.
How do I track my points and rank?
Your dashboard shows everything: current balance, earning history, leaderboard rank, badges earned, and how close you are to your next milestone. It’s all transparent and real-time.
